Midway Christian is a small town church in Woodford county, in the heart of the beautiful Kentucky Bluegrass. We are a people of the table and a congregation of welcome. All are invited to be a part of our church family. We have made it our Mission to serve God and welcome all through Worship Education Love Community Open Table Mission Evangelism.
Midway Christian Church in Midway KY is proud to be a Green Chalice congregation. We continually look for ways to be more responsible in the use of the earth’s resources and to educate others about this responsibility. We collect rain water from the roof for our rain garden, also reducing runoff. Green Chalice encourages everyone to use Kentucky Proud and locally-grown foods to support local farmers. We have accepted the challenge to be carbon neutral by 2030.
As a Disciples of Christ congregation, we do not adhere any formal creeds to determine the correctness of a person’s belief. Rather, our creed is the entire Bible. Although we do value the creeds of other Christian traditions, we also understand the limits of any human language to describe the nature of God. This is why we say: “No Creed but Christ. No Book but the Bible.”
