You will recognize the liturgical practices from many traditions. The colors change with the seasons. The Lord's Supper is celebrated every time that we gather for worship and everyone is invited to partake of the gifts of God. But, while our services are traditional in many ways, the atmosphere of the congregation is welcoming to all sorts of expressions of our faith. There is time to share community announcements and prayer concerns. Children Worship and Wonder allow the children of the congretation to participate and have their own worship experience. The choir is one of the finest that you will hear in a church this size and their gifts in worship range from classical European to African American spirituals to contemporary Christian. Preaching is important to the Disciples. The sermons at Midway are biblical, relevant and often challenging. Above all, worship here is an experience where every person is welcomed to discover the love of God for them and their world made known through Jesus Christ. Children Worship & Wonder Children Worship & Wonder, an exciting, innovative approach to teaching Bible stories to children based on the Montessori Method, has come to Midway! The Christian Education Committee and several Midway Christian children have been preparing the newly dedicated Worship & Wonder space. Some of you have purchased various stories, crafted wooden story pieces, given donations or provided necessary supplies. Many hands, all working together to establish a new and wonderful ministry that will provide children a unique opportunity to experience the presence of God. Children from age 3 to Middle School are invited to participate in this multi-generational Children Worship & Wonder experience. Following “Children’s Moment”, children will be guided from the sanctuary to the new Worship & Wonder Room where they will have their own worship experience.
