Boy Scout Troop 40
Boy Scout Troop 40 was started at Midway Christian Church during the 1990s and has become a wonderful mission of the church. The Boy Scouts have helped the church on many occasions with mission projects, yard work, and outreach in the community.

Camp Wakon' Da-Ho
Camp Wakon' Da-Ho is located in Casey County, KY. Each summer, children and youth gather from across the state of Kentucky to experience church camp and to grown in their relationship with God. For many years, Midway Christian has supported Camp Wakon' Da-Ho by making a financial donation and by sending youth and children to camp.

Cane Ridge
Cane Ridge continues to be a living church. Prayer, singing, and preaching occur in the Meeting House, a place of worship for many congregations and religious groups who come as welcome guests each year. Since the late 18th century and now, in the 21st century, worship services, weddings, celebrations, lectures, and other gatherings have taken place in the church and on its grounds. Each year thousands of travelers visiting Cane Ridge receive talks and tours from the curators. (from Cane Ridge website)

Christian Care Communities
Christian Care Communities is Kentucky’s largest faith-based not-for-profit provider of affordable housing and long-term care for Older Adults. Founded in Louisville in 1884 to care for widows and orphans, Christian Care primarily serves Older Adults through an extensive network of retirement communities, including independent living apartments and patio homes, assisted living, and skilled nursing care." Disciples Mission Fund
The Disciples Mission Fund builds a foundation enabling Disciples to globally share the good news of Jesus Christ. This common fund allows the Disciples to pool their resources accomplishing a greater ministry. One congregation could not achieve this alone. Disciples Mission Fund allows a process of whole church stewardship supporting God-given missions at home and world-wide. They live their theological understanding of Christ's prayer "that they all may be one."  As a faithful growing church, Disciples demonstrate true sense of community, deep Christian spirituality and a passion for justice. Girl Scout Troop 1038
Girl Scout Troop 1038 has been in existence since about 1992 and is lead by Elaine Hagan here in Midway. The troop is for all ages levels (Daisies, Brownies, Cadets, Juniors, Seniors and Ambassadors) and has three goals: 1) Community Service 2) Earning Scout Recognitions 3) Outdoor Activities.

Hope Ministries Food Pantry
The Hope Ministries Food Pantry is a community supported food bank which has food available for people in need within our community. It is located in Versailles at 299 S. Main Street and is open Monday and Friday from 2-4 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Clients receive a grocery cart of food which contains basic items such as meats, cheeses, and butter. They are also able to choose items such as canned vegetables and canned fruits among other items to supplement their basket. The Hope Ministries Food Pantry does work with God's Pantry to obtain various food items but relies on community donations for most of the food items that fill their shelves.

Kentucky Refugee Ministries (KRM)
KRM assists refugees who have been legally admitted to the United States as victims of warfare or other forms of persecution because of their religious or political beliefs. Our staff includes caseworkers, job developers, ESL teachers and interpreters. Our staff speaks English, Spanish, Bosnian, French, Nepali, Somali, Arabic and German and also works closely with contract interpreters who speak other languages native to the refugees we serve.

Lexington Theological Seminary
Lexington Theological Seminary is an accredited graduate theological institution related to the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The purpose of Lexington Theological Seminary is to prepare faithful leaders for the church of Jesus Christ and, thus, to strengthen the church's participation in God's mission for the world. Luther Luckett Christian Church (DOC)
LLCC provides a spiritual home for those who are in prison but also to offer them tools for living healthy, productive and faithful lives once released from prison. They offer worship services three Friday nights a month. On the first Friday of each month, the men gather for a congregational meeting where they sing, pray, share joys and concerns, meet with members of the outside board and celebrate the Lord's Supper.

Midway Branch of the Woodford County Library
The Midway Branch of the Woodford County Library opened in May 2009. This library become a reality thanks to the hard work and dedication of many individuals and organizations involved in the project. Its site at 400 Northside Drive was gifted to the Library District through the generosity of the Midway City Council. The location of the library provides easy access to Northside Elementary, Northridge Estates and downtown Midway, and is within walking distance to most of the city and easily accessed by bicycle or car. The Midway Free Public Library generously donated its existing book collection to the new branch. (from 'Midway Matters', April 2009)

Midway College
Midway College, Kentucky's only women's college, provides a living, learning environment that enables students to assume roles of responsibility and leadership as contemporary women. The college assists each student in the development of personal integration and self sufficiency through a strong liberal arts education and through career studies, both at the associate and baccalaureate degree levels”. Midway Food Pantry
The Midway Food Pantry is housed in Midway Baptist Church and is available for all citizens of Midway. It can be used one time per month per household. At this time they are only able to provide non perishable food items, cleaning supplies and toiletries.

Midway Nursing Home
The Midway Nursing Home Task Force was formed in 1999 when the need for a nursing home for Midway arose. This group has been working diligently to achieve this mission. In 2009, the Task Force teamed up with Christian Care Communities and together began the process of making the mission a reality.

Midway Ministerial Association
The Midway Ministerial Association is a local organization supported by the area churches and offers the opportunity for our local congregations to give back to our community. The MMA supports a fund that is made available to those in our community who are in need of rent assistance, help with utilities, and other types of assistance. The MMA also supports the local food pantry that is housed at Midway Baptist Church.

Second Christian Church
Historic Midway Second Christian Church was established in 1852, and is believed to be the oldest black church in the nation. It was first located on what is now the campus of Midway College, and in 1906 moved across East Stephens Street to its present location on Smith Street. Second Christian was organized out of Midway Christian Church so that the slaves could have a place of their own to worship. (from Midway College website)

Transylvania University
Transylvania University is a distinguished liberal arts college, affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), of approximately 1,100 students that is consistently ranked and praised in the leading national college guides. Transylvania offers 34 majors plus the option of designing an individual major. Students gain a strong grounding in liberal education, however the University also emphasizes career planning. Woodford County Backpack Project
The Woodford County Backpack project is a joint effort of the Woodford County Extension Homemakers and the Woodford County 4-H program. This project was designed to help provide back-to-school items to the estimated 300 preschool through 12th grade Woodford County students who do not have the required items to begin the start school year.

Woodford County Senior Citizens
The Woodford County Senior Citizens Center’s mission is to keep senior citizens in their homes and living independently. The agency provides in house lunches, activities, outings and socialization. They also provide home delivered meals to individuals that are home bound. Another service they provide is home care. An aid comes to the home and provides light house keeping and personal care. Transportation is also provided to doctor’s appointments, grocery shopping, beauty shops, etc. This service is available Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
